Hello Williston!

I moved to Williston from Kansas City, Missouri. I don’t mind telling you, I prefer Williston by leaps and bounds!

I was born in the great state of Oklahoma in the small town of Enid, and raised in the south and Midwest thru high school. I have been in music pretty much all my life, performing for the first time in November of 1956 with my sister. My music career has taken me from small bars and honky tonks in 47 states to the stage of the Grand Ol’ Opry, and then to Europe and around the world@

I was what they would call a “road dog.” Someone who pretty much lives on the road playing music. After my career, I decided to go back to college at age 34 and received my bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with minors in English and math, which really prepared me for my next career in radio. I’ve been working in radio for 21 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Williston is now my home with my cat Hanna, and we just love the town and the people. Country music has always been my favorite, and working mornings on Z-96 playing all the new hot country is a blast. Afternoons are a lot of fun on KEYZ Country as well, since I was raised on the country classics.

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me playing golf or playing pool…both of which I need a lot of improvement!

Now that you know me a little better, it’s your turn. For anything music, or just to say hi, drop me a line at rossc@nccray.net!
